LYRIC

[Verse 1] Fresh Off train, walking to this school where I feel so outta place
The only thing on my mind is when is it time to go home, you can tell by the look on my face
I’ll rather be here trying to make a honest living,Instead of being stuck working a everyday 9 to 5 making minimum wage
It’s treat class like prison, I do my time and I’m out
Half of the time I can give a damn about what the teacher is talking about
When they look at me they think I’m another ghetto hoodlum
But what they don’t know is I focus on school, pursing a bachelor degree
Judging me with all types of stereotypes, so fuck what they gotta say about me
Doesn’t matter if I become popular or not
Or nobody doesn’t even have to know my name
Why? because I’m the black man on campus

[Hook] It’s just like high school all over again, shit don’t change
Now that I’m college now it’s easier to explain
Base on my style, and the way that I stand out
That show that I’m the black man on campus

[Verse 2] Whether class is at 10 to 1, 2 to 6, or 6 to 10
I’m in class but who said i’d be on time?
That where I spend most of my time writing a poem, or maybe a rap
Class is draining my energy, so my head hit the desk and I’m taking a nap
I got things to do, places to be, people to see
Holla At my homie slaughter so he can hook me up with some hip-hop beats
But in the mean time , I let all my thoughts hit the paper
You can’t imagine how much time I have wasted, when my head suppose to be in the books
I ask myself do I really care about school? yeah I do, but this place is the worst
So Represent myself as being the black man on campus
